INVICTUS has held numerous events since its launch in 2019, each one bigger and better than its last. We decided we wanted something different and launched our LAW ENFORCEMENT JIU JITSU CAMP! This is a three day, full event!
This event will feature some of the best LEO black belt instructors in the game today. Each one will bring years of experience both on the mats and on the job. The event will have over dozen instructors teaching various combative and also sport related Jiu Jitsu techniques (we love to roll too!)
Our events are open to Law Enforcement officers, first responders, and anyone (civilians) who supports our mission of getting Law Enforcement to train Jiu Jitsu. If you want to make a week of it and bring your family-go for it. The minimum age to participate is 13 years of age (all teenagers must have a guardian present to participate). Please note that the subject matter could be mature in its presentation.
We have limited tix available as we only have so much mat space (6000sq ft). The early bird price is $299 before Jan 20 2024. After that is is $389 until sold out. You can fly into Reno (Harrah's has a shuttle to Lake Tahoe) or fly into Vegas and drive up.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Refunds: Invictus understands that some things come up so we offer refunds up until April 20 2024. After this date, we cannot issue refunds on tickets. However, you can transfer the ticket if you wish but you must email us with the name of the NEW holder.
Hotel reservations and lodging are the sole responsibility of the person booking through Harrah's. We do not assume responsibility of this portion of the camp.
The seminars and teaching will happen on site at Harrah's in the SAND HARBOR BALLROOM!
Make sure you bring several gis and rash guards to the event. Laundry available at the resort. Don't wear a stinky gi. If you do, we will enforce your non participation until you don't stink. No vest, belts or other gear is needed for training at our events.

Mike Bland brings over 25 years experience instructing and developing training currently utilized at the local, state, and federal level. Mike began training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 1996 and is a 4th degree BJJ Black Belt under Sergio Penha. A full time competitor in his early years who competed at the highest levels both in the United States and Brazil, Mike took his early exposure to Brazilian jiu jitsu in the U.S. and began the push to redevelop police training curriculums to more grappling based systems. As the Sergeant over the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Advanced Officers Skills and Training division, he developed and instructed individual and team based tactical response. Mike also oversaw all aspects of defensive tactics training and was the agency’s lead subject matter expert in use of force, training and tactics. Mike has coached at every level to include hobbyists, law enforcement, military, and professional fighters. He is a sanctioned MMA judge and still actively travels the country coaching. Recently retired from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Mike now resides in St. Augustine, Florida with his wife and son.

Jerry is a 16 year LE veteran and is currently a Lieutenant. Jerry’s LE experience includes patrol, training, downtown enforcement, uc operations, investigations, crowd management, and gangs. He is a third degree black belt under Marcos “Yemaso” Torregrosa and owns two academies in Northern NV. Competitively, Jerry is a multiple time medalist at the black belt level in IBJJF, and has won multiple title and super fights at Grapplers Quest, NAGA, and Fight 2 Win. He is the founder of Komainu Apparel and LEO Defense Systems, and has promoted 125 police officers to blue belt or higher, including 11 black belts.

Chad has a Bachelor’s Degree from Portland State University in Administration of Justice and a double minor in History and Terrorism Studies. In 2004, Chad moved to Las Vegas and began working for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, where he is actively employed today. Chad has served in patrol, as an FTO, Gang Unit, full time SWAT Operator, Homeland Security Section, and training unit, Currently Chad is the Use of Force and tactics expert and review and represent officers who are involved in OIS or other use of force events. He is certified through Force Science Institute as an Advanced FSI Specialist. Chad started training BJJ/MMA in 1998 and earned his Black Belt in 2012 under Michael Chapman from Impact Jiu Jitsu. Chad is a 3rd degree black belt. In 2006, Chad began to Professionally Coach BJJ/MMA in Las Vegas and formalized his LEO curriculum and began training other departments as well as his own. In 2006 Code 4 Combat. (C4C) - later added PJJ and revised the curriculum to the tiered level that exists today, creating a system that could replicated and taught at gyms and departments throughout the world. Police Jiu Jitsu (PJJ) is an International LEO training curriculum that has affiliates in the USA, Canada, and Singapore. There are 1,000s of PJJ trained officers and has a growing Cadre of qualified instructors to modernize defensive tactics curriculums one department at a time. Rob also served 18 years on SWAT and helped to create and run the CT SWAT Challenge since its inception in 2005. Rob also has experience in dignitary protection and has provided executive protection services to high priority clients and has assisted in training executive protection specialists. This experience is vital in being able to teach realistic self-protection skills based on real life experiences and not just theory. Rob is a highly respected international law enforcement instructor. He has taught thousands of personnel from local, state and federal law enforcement agencies as well as those in the United States Military in the areas of defensive tactics, arrest and control, ground fighting, officer survival, force on force, firearms, Taser, SWAT, Dignitary Protection and Physical Fitness. Rob has over 30 years in the martial arts and is a certified 3rd degree blackbelt in Gracie Jiu-jitsu under legendary Jiu-jitsu Master Pedro Sauer. Ari Knazan is a life long martial artist who is currently a 2nd degree black belt certified under Professor Keith Owen (RIP) and Master Pedro Sauer. He also holds a 5th degree black belt in Japanese Jiu Jitsu (Soke Steve Hiscoe) and is a Level 5 Instructor in C4C PJJ under Chad Lyman. Ari is currently assigned the Domestic Violence division in his department and is also one of the Defensive Tactics Instructors as well. In 2019, along with Jason Rebsch, Ari created the Invictus Law Enforcement Jiu Jitsu Collective and actively travels and teaches throughout North America. He specializes in arrest immobilizations and studies the DARK ARTS (wrist locks) happily. Jason Rebsch is a retired Lieutenant out of the Houston, Texas area and has over 24 years of Law Enforcement experience. Jason received his Black Belt under Renzo Gracie in 2018 and is currently a 1st degree Black Belt. In 2019 Jason along with Ari Kazan founded the Invictus LEO Jiu Jitsu Collective. The overall vision and goal of Invictus is to encourage all officers to seek out Jiu Jitsu training and to eventually make Jiu Jitsu based Defensive Tactics a requirement in all Police Departments across the globe. Jason retired in 2020 from Law Enforcement and opened Renzo Gracie Austin where he trains and teaches full time. Jeff Walther has been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 17 years. He is a student and friend of the late Professor Keith Owen and earned his Black Belt from Master Pedro Sauer in 2023. He has 22 years of experience as a city police officer in Coeur d’Alene Idaho where he has worked several operational assignments over his career, to include the departments street crimes unit, the US Marshal’s Service violent fugitive task force and SWAT Command. He currently serves as a Police Captain with command over the investigations Division. Jeff is a senior Defensive Tactics Master Instructor in the State of Idaho and has been teaching DT Since 2008. In 2013 Keith Owen passed the Idaho POST Academy police ground fighting program he created to Jeff with the direction to take it to the next level. In 2018 Jeff lead the way in updating the Idaho POST Academy Defensive Tactics curriculum to a jiu jitsu based program. Now jiu jitsu is mandatory for all Police Officers certified in the State of Idaho for basic training as well as defensive tactics continued education as part of mandatory certification standards. Jeff can be found in Idaho teaching jiu jitsu 5 days a week at the Alpha Training Center in Post Falls Idaho where he also runs a free law enforcement jiu jitsu program for regional police officers who want to train and perfect their tradecraft. As a police commander, Jeff approves department paid, unlimited jiu jitsu memberships for every member of his agencies defensive tactics instructor cadre. Jeff’s jiu jitsu passion is teaching and practicing technical, combative or self defense based jiu jitsu for everyone with a focus on teaching police officers the skills they need to increase their ability to make it home to their families and survive a career.
