Ari Knazan co-founded Invictus with Jason Rebsch in 2019 in an effort to educate police officers and departments on the importance of Jiu Jitsu. Ari has over 35 years experience in the martial arts and is a 2nd degree black belt under Keith Owen/ Pedro Sauer (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) and a 5th degree Black Belt under Steve Hiscoe (Japanese Jiu Jitsu), both which Ari credits to saving his life on a number of occasions.
Ari is a Level 5 C4C-PJJ certified adjunct instructor under Chad Lyman. He is certified use of force instructor for his department as well.
In addition to being a proud member of his city’s police force (serving as a Use of Force Instructor, Field Trainer, Patrol and Domestic Violence Unit), he also operates the Invictus North HQ Jiu Jitsu academy and several online businesses which all revolve around personal safety, combative training and tactical awareness. Ari also is the host of the Geek Assassin Podcast (www.geekassassin.com) which aims at exploring the lighter side of life (and the 80s) and is also the owner of Chaos (www.enterchaos.com), which creates websites, logos as well as sells tactical watches.
Invictus goal is to help Police Officers and Police Departments worldwide adopt Jiu Jitsu into their defensive tactics training and in turn, get more officers practicing Jiu Jitsu. #bjjmakeitmandatory
Jason Rebsch retired as a Lt. with 24 years police experience and is a Black Belt under Renzo Gracie. He Runs Renzo Gracie Austin. Jason was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division of his Department and had previously served as Patrol Sergeant and SRT Team Leader among other positions.

Jason was also responsible for teaching Patrol, Active Shooter and Defensive Tactics at his agency. Jason has trained Jiu Jitsu for nearly 13 years and has competed at all levels. Jason is also the creator of BJJ Cop whose goal is to encourage Police Officers to begin training Jiu Jitsu by demonstrating the effectiveness of Jiu Jitsu in Law Enforcement. Jason is a Co-Founder of the Invictus Movement.
