Invictus founders Ari and Jason are proud to be Level 5 instructors for the C4C PJJ program. The program is founded and created by Chad Lyman, an industry leader in Police Use of Force and Combatives training.
Our mission is to develop and share the most relevant and effective police training in the world. C4C PJJ shall be shared through in-person training provided by a network of high level instructors, online platforms, and apps on personal devices.
C4C PJJ is a fundamental principle based curriculum focused on LEO outcomes. The curriculum is written and trained in a systematic manner that encourages learning and retention. The program covers de-escalation, empty hand tactics, weapon based training, team tactics, communication, use of force, instructor development, and other topics. A heavy emphasis is placed on control, grappling, defending against attacks, and team tactics. A person cannot reach high levels of the C4C PJJ curriculum, or teach the curriculum, without a deep fundamental knowledge and grappling ability.
C4C PJJ offers an outstanding LEO curriculum and actual instruction in several key areas. The C4C PJJ curriculum is one of the most complete LEO curriculum in the industry, and is built by police officer who is a court recognized use of force expert, and a high level BJJ/MMA coach. We deliver advanced Instructor Development that enhances an officer’s ability to develop curriculum and safely teach defensive tactics. A key aspect of this Instructor Development is teaching officers to teach in a manner that encourages retention in students. C4C PJJ curriculum is also an industry leader in actual application of the curriculum in the field and in training environments. Our instructors train consistently as well as teach and deploy C4C PJJ tactics in the field. In short our instructors are capable practitioners, forever students who train consistently on their own, and high level instructors. The best curriculum, the best instructors, and the best training. C4C PJJ instructors understand police work because they are police officers.

Code 4 Concepts (C4C) is the arm of PFC Training that delivers intermediate use-of-force, subject control, physical defense and combatives instruction. C4C is a comprehensive system based on proven methods and principles that allow users to stop or dominate combative events. Chad Lyman, PFC’s Director of Combatives, is the founder and primary curriculum developer of Code 4 Concepts.
Chad’s background and progressive approach to combative problem solving has resulted in the formation of a simple, direct and effective system of intermediate force options for all ranges. C4C out performs other defensive training systems because it is principle-based as opposed to technique-based. Most military, law enforcement, and martial arts training involves numerous techniques that must be learned, perfected and remembered. These techniques often break down and fail in an actual fight, and the officers trained in a technique-based program do not have the ability to adapt or overcome failures in an effective way.
C4C graduates learn core principles that lead to them dominating physical encounters. Principles are knowledge that can be learned, understood, and applied in any fight, whether standing, on the ground, weapon based, in a vehicle, etc. Once a student grasps the correct principles of a combative encounter, they can achieve positions of advantage before or during a fight and then work to dictate the outcome.
